HOW DOES MAXBREEZE SOLAR ROOF VENTILATION WORK?
The solar powered MaxBreeze solar roof ventilation fan is the smart, 21st century version of the old Whirly-Bird. The thermostat automatically controls the fan, turning it on as the roof cavity heats up.
- The sun beats down on your roof and heats up the enclosed roof space. On a hot day the roof cavity can heat up to 70°C. Passive vents allow some circulation but do not provide the circulation needed to force out the hot air. The build-up of heat radiates into the living space.
- As the temperature in the roof cavity approaches 30°C the thermostat automatically turns on the MaxBreeze. The solar panel on the MaxBreeze converts sunlight to electricity to power the fan motor.
- The MaxBreeze fan quietly extracts the hot air from the roof cavity, lowering the cavity temperature.
- MaxBreeze is thermostatically controlled to turn on and off automatically.
- The added advantage on the MaxBreeze 40w Standard and Zephyr is the ability for the fan to Work 24/7 if need be, 40w Standard via it AC adaptor and the 2x40w Zephyr via its second 40w panel with the 9.6ah Lithium battery built in.
